The New York Daily News reports that former Queens Assemblyman Jimmy Meng pleaded guilty to taking an $80,000 bribe to “fix” a criminal case. Meng claimed that he was going to give the money to the Manhattan DA, but kept it instead.
Here’s another juicy tidbit. Apparently, the Feds tried to get Meng to “gather evidence” in the ongoing John Liu investigation, but Meng refused.
